Getting up and down from the floor is an important life skill, but can be difficult or even dangerous for many people. It requires strong leg muscles, good mobility in your ankles, knees, hips, and back, and good balance. People who struggle to get on and off the ground often make the activity much harder than it needs to be. In this video I demonstrate efficient techniques to get up and down from the floor that are gentle on the joints and maximize leverage and position to allow you to rise more easily. I explain how to get up and down with and without a chair for support and even without kneeling for those with sensitive knees.
